DJ JB International
Jonathan Adams aka Dj JB international was born 1982, Paarl in a working class family.Jonathan started his first piano lessen at his primary school.Kept at it rite into his Senior year in high school. This is where his passion for club music and dj`ing started and it loomed large in his life from the word go … fooling around with two CD players learning how to beat match at an old friends house after school, not evens going home first.
Playing at block parties and family birthdays.
After finshing Matric and working in the familie business at the age of 20 he enrolled into a dj training course at Cape audio college.
This is where he met up with Masta “G”, Tony Smith who determind his dj influences.
JB had his very first GiG at the lounge in Cape Town all thanx to Dj C-4 who was resident dj at the time.After the ice was broken within the first ten minutes with a bloober or two offcourse DJ JB international found what he was looking for … making people move to good music and feel good.
In 2003 he entered and won the baz bar Dj competition at Dockside super night club Cape Town.A two night event wich was blown away by the performance and energy of Dj JB intl.Simply by reloading energy coming thru strong and full steam ahead with mix after mix … scratch after scratch followed by perfect music selection.Judges was blown away and the crowd continued to grow as Dj JB delivers … Like no other.
His dexterity on the decks are polished up and tackle as well as the working world, ghettos, despair, revolt and trips.He mix, scratch, cuts and chops Hip Hop, RnB and House that he has skillfully gatherd from shadowing Tony Smith, between 2003 – 2006.Living the ultimate super club Dj`s dream.From Gig`ng at the Knysna Oyester fest. All the way to the redbull club tour.
In 2005 he hooked up with Groove coalition wich was managed and owned by Giffith Jeppe (Masta G).Thru Groove coalition Dj Jb Intl. became an official Lucky strike private events Dj.
After rendezvousing with some late nights in the club scene, Jb build his own studio in his home town Paarl.
Monument Music Studio`s was launched in 2006, working exclusively with artists such as Mistah Nastaljah (D.O.S), Karin Engelbreght and Tarence of the Fire Balls just to name a few.
