WHere it all began
Deniel’s been making a mark for himself behind the decks for almost 9 years now. Deniel’s versatility, ardent passion for the music & infectious personality has ensured him success in a fickle but competitive industry. Initially rising to popularity playing Uplifting Trance & Progressive based sound and citing Gabriel & Dressden, Sasha, John Digweed, Armin Van Buuren and Paul van Dyk as his early influences. Deniel had his first Big Break at Cape Town Super Club, the Gallery only six months after purchasing his first batch of vinyl’s and secured himself a residency there for 2 years.

Broadening his horizons
In 2004, Deniel, one of South African new breed of DJ’s introduced the phat dirty progressive sound that has taken the mature house scene by storm. He has played across the Western Cape, far and wide and has played regular gigs at Opuim, Underground Sound Boutique, The Bang Bang Club, VIP Lounge, Ku Da Ta, 
FTV (Fashion TV Cape Town) and Bambu.

A recent high profile gig was his performance at the 2009 NYE Miller Draft Street Party (in conjunction with Metro FM) at the Fire & Ice Hotel in Cape Town.

Mutha FM
From 2005 Deniel join the ranks and became one of the Mutha FM DJ’s (2005 - 2007) with a regular feature on Nick E Louder’s “Global Sound System” dance shows that aired Friday Nights. Deniel also joined the bimontly Mutha FM Club Tours that took Cape Town by storm. Mutha Fm went into hibernation in late 2007 and was reactivated in September 2010 . This time around Deniel host his own radio show called Electronic Simplicity that airs every Tuesday night from 8 - 10pm (Live streaming on www.muthafm.com)

Trigger Project - Oyster Festival
Since 2006 this 2 week Annual Tour up the East Coast has consists of Deniel Briers and SA Superstar DJ, Nick E Louder with Trigger Clothing as their main sponsor. They have been bringing the sounds of Cape Town to the 65 000 festive goers on a yearly basis hitting all the top spots in George, Knysna and Plettenberg Bay.
